Talisker 57° North

  Hey Malt & Scotland Friends,

today is "isle of Skye" Day on Joe's Malt Diary (check out on https://www.facebook.com/JoesMaltDiary). After posting a few pics from our Trip in April 2012 I went into the Malt Mood. An what do you expect for Isle of Skye? it's of course a Talisker. Because it's cold and rainy tonight, I've choosen the "57° North".

It's a cask strength by 57% and the name comes from??? Exactly, the Distillery is at 57° north latitude.

It is peated as well with a fruity nose. But on the pallet it's a huricane: Peat with Pepper and Chily. A bit salt and oil is going down. It's a full bodied Malt and it's good for those kind of weather.

Hope you'll be able to enjoy it.

Slàinte, Joe
